Our Team
Dreama Short, LPC-S, RPT-S
Clinical Director
My name is Dreama Short, and I have dedicated more than 30 years to serving individuals and families in the mental health field. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and my Master of Education degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from East Tennessee State University, where I completed six years of higher education. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor, and Licensed Social Worker. I am also certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). My counseling approach is compassionate, collaborative, and individualized to meet the unique needs of each client. I primarily utilize Play Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help children, adolescents, and families process difficult experiences, develop healthy coping skills, strengthen emotional resilience, and navigate life’s challenges. I believe that meaningful therapeutic relationships begin with creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and respected. My goal is to help each client recognize their strengths, develop the tools they need to move forward, and feel empowered in their journey toward healing and growth.
Dreama currently serves in a clinical leadership and supervisory capacity rather than maintaining a regular outpatient therapy caseload.
